Simon
Walker - Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
|
|
Son
of a famous north-coast dairy farmer, Simon uses the same delicate
dexterity that wooed milk from his father's cows to bring forth rich,
creamy music from his guitar. Simon has a long history of playing
in a variety of bands, with musical styles as diverse as reggae,
jazz, Chinese folksongs, blues and of course country and western.
Thankfully,
Simon has ignored virtually all of these creative inputs to concentrate
on "defining the meat in the musical sandwich", whatever
that means. Recently, Simon has had an addition to his burgeoning
family,
and has had to purchase a new house - "Gracelands II".
Simon describes it as "a modest little villa, a monument
to his hard work and thrift". Others have described it as a
huge, rambling edifice, so tasteless that even Elvis himself would
feel
uncomfortable living in it. From the gold handled taps in any of
its eighteen bathrooms to the genuine pearl flipper buttons on
the pinball
machines in his bowling alley, the place truly is a wonder. Luckily,
Simon's day job provides more than enough money for the upkeep
of
this veritable Xanadu. Not that we actually know what his day job
is... |
